I really enjoy looking at old postcards in the flea markets around Berlin. At once both appropriating and sharing other people's collective and personal memories because they align with mine, of my travels past and present. I love the way you can look at a postcard from 1930 and know the place is almost the same today. This is startlingly different to my memories and views of the cities in Australia which are always a work in progress.
